Field Trip to Pumpkin Farm
4 yr. old-Fire Safety Fun
4 yr. old-Fire Safety
We learned a lot about fire safety! We learned to stop, drop and roll if something on us catches on fire. We learned to crawl out of a burning building so we don't breathe so much smoke in. We learned that we need to have 2 ways to get out of our house. Take some family time to show your kids your smoke detectors and what they sound like. Talk about ways to get out of your house in an emergency and make a special meeting place in your yard or neighbor's yard for your family to meet if an emergency happens in your house.

3 Year Old-Little Boy Blue
Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn! The sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn. Where is the boy who looks after the sheep, He's under the haystack fast asleep. Will you wake him? No, not I. For if I do, he's sure to cry.
Nursery rhymes help us with phonemic awareness (hearing different sounds) and preparatory to reading. We'll learn a lot of nursery rhymes this year!
3 Year Old-Yellow Sunflowers
4 Year Old-Colors Galore
We reviewed our colors. We took a survey of everyone's favorite color. Blue got the most votes at 7. Pink was a distant second at 2 and red, purple, green and yellow each got one vote. We also got to play color bingo with M&Ms. We had to match the M&M to the circle on the bingo card after Miss Jennie picked the color.
