We learned about the first Thanksgiving and made turkey shakers with our handprints for the turkey's feathers. We got to take home pilgrim hats. Most wanted the boys' hats. They were cooler than the girls' hats and apparently looked like a witch's hat.

4 yr. old-Humpty Dumpty
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men,
Couldn't put Humpty together again!
We made our own Humpty Dumpty out of boiled eggs. But we did an experiment with an unboiled egg. We named him Humpty and acted out the rhyme. There's a reason the king's horses and men couldn't put Humpty together again!

4 yr. old-Horrible Hair Day
4 yr. old-Goldilocks & the Three Bears
National Author's Day
We talked about Laura Numeroff for National Author's Day. She is the author of "If You Give a Mouse A Cookie" and many other books. Since the mouse liked the cookie so much, we decided to make our own. Everyone helped measure, Miss Jennie did the mixing and everyone got to scoop out their own dough to make their cookie.
